前回までで、OS、apacheのインストール、ドメインの設定とPHPのインストールまで完了しました。

今回はデータベースである、MariaDBのインストールを行なっていきます。

MariaDBとは

CentOSではMariaDBが標準となっています。

MariaDBとは、オープンソースリレーショナルデータベースシステムの一つで、MySQLの派生版のようなものです。

MySQLよりもセキュリティや拡張性が高いことから、徐々に人気が高まってきています。

最近はレンタルサーバーもMariaDBを採用する会社が多くなってきています。

今後、MariaDBが主流になっていくかもしれません。

今回はこのMariaDBを導入していきましょう。

MariaDBをインストール

前回から一度ログアウト等してしまった方は、まずsshでログイン後にrootに権限を変更してください。

yumでMariDBをインストールします。

yum install mariadb-server

進めていくうちにいいかどうか聞かれますので、yで先に進めてきます。

これでインストールが完了しました。

自動起動の設定

インストールしただけでは使用できませんので、apacheと同じように
すステムの起動と、合わせて自動起動をしておきましょう。

起動します

systemctl start mariadb

自動起動の設定をします。

systemctl enable mariadb

初期設定とパスワードの設定

次に、MariaDBの初期設定と、パスワード設定をします。

mysql_secure_installation

このコマンドを入力すると、

Enter current password for root (enter for none):

と表示されますが、インストール完了時にはパスワードは設定されていないため、
ここはエンターで進めてください。

rootのパスワードを設定するかどうか聞かれますので、yで進み
パスワードの設定をします。

こちらもyで進めていきます。

これで設定完了です。

mysql -u root -p

でログインできるか確かめてみましょう。

新しいユーザーを作る場合

root以外のユーザーを作成する場合は以下のコマンドで作成できます。

MySQLとsqlのコマンドはほぼ同じです。

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `DB名`.* TO 'ユーザー名'@'ホスト名'  IDENTIFIED BY 'パスワード';

さて、これでデータベースまで作成できました。

サーバー構築は、作るだけであれば意外と難しくありません。

次回は、必須ではありませんが、GUIでデータベースを扱うことができるPHPMyAdminの導入を行なっていきます。
